The day starts as a normal day for a falconer, checking the birds, preparing the food, checking equipment, weighing them carefully and putting them out for weathering in the garden. We give a short talk about their superpowers, then this is followed by a 1 hour handling lesson, how to pick up a bird of prey, put them down, tie the falconer’s knot and “man” them. We then focus on more in-depth training techniques and how we might fly the bird to the fist, lure or drone. We then fly the birds that need to be flown for that day.

Because of the hands-on aspect of this experience, we must require that all participants be ages 6 years or older and anyone under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.
